Hyde Park Mennonite Fellowship invites children to spend a week with us at our first ever Summer Peace Camp! Admission is free!
HPMF values peace and justice in all forms: seeking peace, working for justice, building community, respecting diversity, and honoring Creation. We believe it is never too early to pass these practices onto young children. At Peace Camp, children will engage in activities that practice peace with themselves, peace with the earth, and peace with others.
Objectives for the week will include: 1. To answer our call to peacemaking and make peacemaking a way of life. 2. To develop skills for peacemaking including emotional intelligence, self-regulation, conflict resolution, cooperation, and creativity. 3. To celebrate individual and cultural differences of all people as members of God’s beloved family. 4. To strengthen connection and care for creation, as well as learn peacemaking skills through crafts, games, stories, and activities.
Peace Camp enrollment is open for children who have completed K through 4th grades. Monday, July 13 - Thursday, July 16 10am - 1pm (lunch included!) FREE for all enrolled children (+ t-shirt provided)
